Every sport has a fantasy version, so why not the greatest sport of them all?! 78 people competed in the first version of this league last year, and I would love to see even more!
Welcome to The Ultimate Power Soccer Fantasy League. This competition tests your knowledge of the USPSA Conference Cup Series from top to bottom. Anybody can choose a team of four superstars and know that the results will be excellent, but the rules here are a little bit different.
Your team is going to be comprised of one player from each conference. On this form, players are listed alphabetically by first name along with their team name and number. You are also going to choose one team as your defense, much like is done in many fantasy football leagues.
Scoring is as follows for the individual players:
Goals: Three points per goal
Assists: Two points per assist
Bonus point if your player is on the winning side of a match
Example 1: Danielle scores two goals, contributes three assists, and her team wins one match. 13 total points.
Example 2: Tyler doesn't score any goals, has five assists, and his team wins six matches. 16 total points.
Scoring is as follows for the team defense:
Team defense is a purely negative category. Your team loses one point for every goal that your team defense surrenders throughout the tournament. These count against the points generated from your offense, much like power soccer is a game of offensive and defensive give and take.
There are two tiebreaker questions, just in case they are necessary. The first one will apply first, and if the second one is necessary, it will apply but is irrelevant if the tie is broken by the first tiebreaker.Â
ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE FIRST MATCHES ON 6/25. ANY RECEIVED AFTERWARDS WILL BE DELETED!
Because I will be playing and don't believe that the tournament software is able to export all the data to do live updates, I will be manually updating results each night from my hotel room. Please be patient with me.
